You have made a huge decision and spent a lot of money bringing your dog into your home to love and care for.
Vet bills, toys, insurance, food and bedding are a few of the things that you sign up to when caring for your dog. Part of that care is grooming your dog on a regular basis. This is why you are on my website.
Please arrive at the time you are given. There is no need to be early and let the dog that I’m grooming see you, this can cause an accident. For the safety of the dog and myself please stay out of sight until I call you in. I have cameras so I am aware that you have arrived.
Please do not bring your dog or yourself in wet and muddy, I work alone, the next time your dog is back on the floor after I’ve scooped them up to put them in the bath, is when they are finished, you do not want them back on a muddy floor.
I will endeavour to groom your dog to your requirements, however if your dogs coat is excessively matted, the coat will be clipped short or shaved dependant on the severity. Your dogs health and comfort is my upmost priority. There will be an additional charge on top of your grooming price and photos will be taken. I will not cause your dog any distress for vanity.
Please be understanding that mats are painful to brush out. Washing a matted dog tightens the mats, drying a matted dog takes longer, shaving a matted dog blunts equipment. There will be a fee of £10 minimum to shave off or demat a dog, this is to cover sharpening of equipment.
If you go over your recommended 6/8 week schedule there will be a restyle fee as a longer appointment will be required upon your next visit.
Please make sure your dog is fully vaccinated including Kennel cough, flea treatment and worming
You must inform me of any existing medical conditions and behavioural issues your dog may have.
If your pet appears unwell when you arrive you will not be accepted for grooming due to the risk to your pet and cross contamination to other pets.
If your dog has recently had surgery, you need the OK from your vet prior to any groom. NO dog will be groomed if they have stitches and must be fully healed.
I recommend that puppies wait at least 10 days after their second vaccination prior to their first groom.
Bitches in season, whelp or nursing will not be accepted for a groom.
If your dog is found to have fleas I will charge a £20+ fee on top of your grooming fee, they will be flea shampooed, the following customers informed and the salon fumigated/disinfected. If it is severe they will be turned away and charged full grooming fee.
